Ditched Verizon finally and moved to T-Mobile. I decided to splurge and got the G1 which I’m digging so far. Keyboard is nice and this WordPress app I downloaded seems to work well. The picture below was taken as I write this post and then selected to be embedded. Not too shabby for the first night.
This grew from a comment I left on Niall’s blog, but I think it really sums up my stance towards government. The metaphor is fairly general, but it can be applied to many individual issues:
“As the burden of the government’s yolk increases, we transfer more of our economic and personal freedoms to those at the reins. Those at the reins increase the load on our backs hoping that it will make the burden easier to carry. If the burden does not break us, then eventually it will become too large for ourselves and even our masters to remove.”
And like Dennis Prager always says, I prefer clarity to agreement. Anyone else want to concisely sum up their philosophy?

Hung out with all the babies the Friday after St. Patrick’s Day and gave the new 35mm f/1.8 a workout. Low light and no flash meant I was shooting wide open at high ISOs. Got some good shots, but I needed more light to bring the shutter speed up which would have increased the number of keepers.
My favorite is Luke sticking his tongue out.
When I say “unordinary” I mean out of the ordinary for myself. If you asked me if I would like Icelandic post-rock with an ethereal sound I’d probably say no, but here’s an example that would prove me wrong.
