Cool Site of the Day: The Song Tapper

February 16th, 2006 at 09:50pm Came across this the other day. You tap out the rythm of a song and it identifies what song it is. It will give quiet a few matches but my test with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star came up as #1. Nice little distraction and I think it is neat from a technical/programming viewpoint. http://www.songtapper.com/

It wasn’t very accurate for me…

although I don’t know how it could be if it’s only clue comes from tapping the keyboard and comparing that to whoever did it first’s rhythm…

    still an impressive flash app

I couldn’t get it to work. I tapped a song, and it gave me 10 suggestions, none of which were my song. So I tried tapping the number one suggestion given, and it gave me 10 other songs, none of which were the one suggested. Either I’m retarded, or song tapper is.

How can a program not recognize that age-old classic “Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem”?
