The rest of the world uses diesel, why can’t we?

The 65 mpg Ford the U.S. can't have

So Ford is complaining that they can't bring a good fuel efficient car to the US because of the barrier diesel presents. You know what, if you advertise a car that gets 65 mpg, the public isn't going to care what it runs on. When it comes to cars, America is just slightly retarded.

    The part about they’d have to build a $350 million dollar plant confuses me. Are diesel engines so vastly different that existing factories can’t be upgraded? Not to mention gas prices are slowly coming back down, and now that gas is back under $100, who knows how low it will go.

    What will the democrats scream about if gas prices aren’t “destroying the middle class?”
