Democrats acknowledge Global Cooling during tonight’s debate

February 26th, 2008 at 05:37pm SIKE! Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling Looks like Global Warming fears are being further debunked and there's more than enough data to back up the idea that we are actually cooling down. The data shows that warming from the past century has been wiped out in one year.  I wonder how long it will take for politicians and the media to acknowledge we're at the mercy of the Sun's solar activity so we can put this climate change garbage behind us. Seriously though, the Earth's climate has been and will be in constant flux. One thing is certain though:  climate change will end when the Sun burns itself out in a few billion years. If humans are still around and we haven't been wiped out by an asteroid or some disease, I don't think they'll be arguing about carbon dioxide's affect on global temperature.

Saw that on drudge and read through lots of the comments. Some very smart people on there, and I don’t know how you can believe that human behavior has any impact on the changes in climate.

Wrong. I change earth’s climate with my mind.

Absolutely - postitively - RIGHT ON!

The whole GW alarm people will be viewed as a bunch of total crackpots 50 years from now.

They will have the dreadful reputations of the “Flat Earth Society” for being totally wrong.

Geeky Weekly (I’ve learned my lesson from Clark Kent), do you know Rick Butts Show?????

Nope, I have no idea who Rick Butts is. Not sure how he came across my site either. Might have been through my Wordpress plugins.

We still have to be responsible (i.e. Stewardship) with what we have been given, whether the Earth is Hot or Cold.

I think we would all agree then that resources poured into reducing carbon emmissions would be a poor stewardship of our resources.

I would read more of the scientific literature before making any broad statements about the validity or invalidity of the Global Warming Hypothesis. It’s a Hypothesis with lots of evidence, and we certainly have many things to gain by putting less hydrocarbons into the air. The propaganda against the Global Warming Hypothesis is funded by parties with a vested interest in oil consumption, the scientific research in favor of the Global Warming Hypothesis is funded by parties with a vested interest in the truth. Hmmm. Always look at the science and the sources of funding to better understand bias and point of view.

So all the scientists that have spoken out against global warming are automatically treated as puppets for the oil companies? Good try at using guilt by association; I take it you have a source that documents how all scientists opposed to global warming are receiving funding from big oil?

If I am so uninformed, what scientific literature should I be reading? Which parties exactly have a vested interest in the truth?

And I guess all these scientists are just full of it?

Should I believe something like this article written by a professor of natural resources with a Ph.D. in ecological climatology and past president of the American Association of State Climatologists?

“the scientific research in favor of the Global Warming Hypothesis is funded by parties with a vested interest in the truth.”

HAHA! While you might like to think these people are without self-interest, you are wrong. Every grant dollar they get to fund the research would be gone if the study of global warming went away. It’s not in their interest to come out and say “we’re wrong, this is all hogwash., lease stop sending us money.”

After reading about the global cooling debate on quite a few sites, I can’t help but notice that alot of global warming advocates actually seem to want the planet to end in fire. Are they actually that bent on being correct? If so, they are truly nuts. This whole issue is way too imortant with way too much at stake for it to be a political one.
