I went shooting today with Sarah, her dad and sister. I have been several times are I generally enjoy shooting and will own a gun when I get married (Sarah is probably bringing her Sig Sauer along with her). We were shooting a 9mm and .45, shot about 100 rounds of each. I definitely prefer a 9mm, not as manly as .45, but the reduced recoil and larger clip size (15 vs 7/8) allows me to lay down more rapid and accurate fire.

Wow, it looks like the 45 really kicks. Fun stuff.
I do enjoy shooting a gun and I do okay with my aiming as long as I keep my eyes open.
The man’s voice you hear in the video of me shooting the gun is my dad telling my sister what a job she is doing a good job.
where do you go shooting? and what if i wanted to go shooting but i don’t have a gun? can i do that? how much does it cost? it looks fun
We went to Insight off the 91 in Artesia (website). If you don’t have a gun and buy your ammo at the range it can get a little pricey. A typical breakdown would look like $14 for the lane, $10 for pistol rental and about $10 for 50 rounds (it is easy to shoot 200 rounds of 9mm). So you’re looking at maybe $60.
If you brought your own gun then you avoid that cost and can bring your own ammo which you could probably buy in bulk for less. If you have never shot before then it could be worth the money that first time for the experience and too see if you enjoy it.
If we go again I’ll let you know. We went with Sarah’s dad but as far as I know she can borrow any of his guns if he felt comfortable with that. Denise went with us before but she shot the little girly guns.
