Global Warming Causes Record Low Temperatures

Well that’s what the kool-aid drinking, Al Gore nutjobs would like you to believe. Geophysicist David Deming, possibly a bit more scientifically credible than a former vice president and presidential candidate, has a good piece of commentary up at The Washington Times, Year of global cooling. Great quote at the end, “Nothing creates cognitive dissonance in the mind of a true believer.” I wonder if global warming caused this year’s below average hurricane activity too?

And if you need some ammo for creating cognitive dissonance, the Senate released a report that lays the smackdown to the idea that there is a consensus among scientists about man-made global warming, Over 400 Prominent Scientists Disputed Man-Made Global Warming Claims in 2007. Just read through the highlighted quotes from various scientists around the world. My favorite is the following from space physicist Dr. Eigil Friis-Christensen who is the director of the Danish National Space Centre, a member of the space research advisory committee of the Swedish National Space Board, a member of a NASA working group, and a member of the European Space Agency who has authored or co-authored around 100 peer-reviewed papers and chairs the Institute of Space Physics:

“The sun is the source of the energy that causes the motion of the atmosphere and thereby controls weather and climate. Any change in the energy from the sun received at the Earth’s surface will therefore affect climate.”

Hmm is it possible that the big ball up in the sky, which our planet would be a lifeless hunk of rock without, can cause fluctuations in temperature?

To answer your question, “No!” The sun has nothing to do with weather. And CO2 emissions must be regulated in order for Algore’s energy companies to turn profits from suckers who buy carbon credits. That is the only way to stop global warming. LOL.
